Demand for music festivals taking place in the capital has doubled, as temperatures continue to top 20 °C, according to ticket marketplace Seatwave.

Festivals such as Wireless and Hard Rock Calling, which both take place in The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and the LOVEBOX weekender which takes place in Victoria Park, London, have all experienced a sharp rise in ticket demand.

The pattern of increasing demand for festival tickets is not just confined to London. Reading, Leeds and V Festival have all experienced an influx from eager festival ticket seekers excited by the apparent arrival of summer.

Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave, commented: “We have been blessed with some beautiful weather these past few days and understandably many people are starting to plan their summer. There are some great festivals taking place in London this year and the sunny weather is really encouraging people to buy festival tickets. Fingers crossed this weather holds.”
