Paris Jackson’s family court judge has ordered an investigation into her welfare following her attempted suicide.
The 15-year-old daughter of late singer Michael Jackson is under the legal guardianship of her grandmother Katherine Jackson and her cousin TJ Jackson.
She tried to kill herself on Wednesday after cutting her body with a meat cleaver and reportedly swallowing around 20 ibuprofen pills.
Last year Katherine temporarily lost custody of Paris and her brothers Prince and Blanket after the family was unable to reach the matriarch for over nine days.
Judge Mitchell Beckloff oversaw the case and is still assigned to it.
TMZ reports the magistrate learned of Paris’ suicide attempt through the media and immediately became concerned.
Apparently he asked a probate court investigator to look into the matter. Judge Beckloff wants the inspector to "prepare a written report and include therein any recommendations relating to the minor child's health, education and welfare".
According to the website he is initiating the investigation in order to “determine if her welfare has been compromised”.
Paris is currently being held under psychiatric evaluation.
It is rumoured Paris’ biological mother Debbie Rowe wants her daughter to come and live with her once she is released from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Radar Online reports the teenager will not be returning to the school she is currently enrolled in.
“[It] has already been decided she wont be going back to the school she had been attending,” a source told the website. “Paris had been absolutely miserable at the school for a long time, and there is a clique of mean girls that had been bullying her.
“It escalated after [new] child molestation claims were made public against her father, Michael. She has felt like an outsider for a long time. There is no way she could return there after the suicide attempt, Paris would be tormented all over again.”
