Jessica Simpson apparently believes her due date could be closer than she first thought.
The blonde star has been dating former American football star Eric Johnson since 2010 and she is currently pregnant with their second child. Jessica celebrated the impending new arrival with a baby shower in Los Angeles in May, but sources say the star has now started to question the accuracy of the date she is expecting her child.
"After ballooning when she carried Maxwell, Jess was aware she would gain weight again, but now she's struggling to get around and finds it so hard to be on her feet for so long," a friend revealed to British magazine Closer.
"She says she feels like she did at the end of her first pregnancy, which has made her question whether her due date is actually closer than she thinks - she's wishing the process could be speeded up a bit!"
Jessica is said to be growing increasingly frustrated about her inability to get around on her own. Now her friends are encouraging her to stay at home until she goes into labour.
"Jessica is relying on Eric to drive her everywhere," the friend explained. "She's so tired and uncomfortable, he's been telling her to take it easy and rest in bed until after the birth. No one wants her to overdo it."
The star recently made headlines after apparently telling her friends she wants to get married shortly after she gives birth.
"Jessica was telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born," a source told Us Weekly. "Jessica said, 'Let's have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!'"
The 32-year-old announced she was expecting a second baby on Christmas Day last year, and is expected to give birth soon. Jessica recently revealed she is “so excited” to be having a son. She already has a one-year-old daughter, Maxwell, with Eric.
Earlier this year, Jessica revealed that the couple had postponed their wedding plans due to her unexpected pregnancies.
“We’ve had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up,” she laughed during an interview with Jay Leno.
