Kanye West reportedly fears he could "lose face" if Kim Kardashian poses nude.
The rapper and reality TV star Kim welcomed their baby daughter North into the world in June.
Kim recently revealed she would like to replicate her racy 2007 cover for Playboy magazine when she has her pre-baby figure back.
Rapper Kanye is known not to be a fan of TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and many other attention-seeking ventures the family is known for.
"Kim posing naked is completely against the image Kanye thought they were going for," a source sighed to British magazine Star.
"He's worked hard to present himself as a family man, even going against his better judgement and declaring his love for Kim on her mom's chat show.
"Kanye feels he could lose a lot of face over this, not just in terms of the fashion crowd, which he has successfully become a part of, but also with fellow rappers.
"Soft porn pictures of Kim would be an open invitation for ridicule from his rivals."
Kim caught the public's eye after a leaked sex tape with ex Ray J was released.
The star isn't shy of showing off her curves and the 32-year-old and Kanye even posed nude together for publication L'Officiel Hommes earlier this year.
"Kanye and Kim posed naked for a French mag, but since she's become a mom, Kanye feels Kim's body should be between just them," the insider continued.
"But [Kim's mom] Kris [Jenner] encouraged Kim's first Playboy shoot, so he may have his work cut out."
