Usher’s ex-wife has apparently filed legal papers accusing him of leaving her out of parenting decisions.
The singer shares two children, five-year-old Usher Raymond V and four-year-old Naviyd, with stylist Tameka Foster. He has had a strained relationship with his former spouse since their 2009 divorce and it doesn’t appear to be getting any better. TMZ reports that Tameka is accusing Usher of ignoring her and doing whatever he wants when it comes to their kids.
The pop heartthrob has primary custody of the boys, but Tameka maintains that he should consult her about matters involving their education, hobbies and travel.
According to Tameka, the pair attended a co-parenting class in July – but the session ended when Usher “stormed out”. Tameka claims she has asked her ex to return to the class, but he has ignored her pleas and has “shut her out”.
She reportedly wants Usher to be held in contempt and for a judge to “order him to be a better co-parent”, according to the website.
Tameka is said to be particularly annoyed about Usher signing one of the children up for American football practice without speaking to her first.
Last month it was reported that Tameka was “waiting” to take Usher back to court.
The couple were embroiled in a bitter custody battle months after their divorce. Their feud was reignited when their eldest son was hospitalised in August after he became stuck in the drain of a swimming pool at Usher’s Atlanta, Georgia, home.
"She was waiting for the right time to take him back to court and she thought this was the perfect ammunition. She's bitter," a source told America’s Star magazine.
