Spotify has revealed that singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has beaten Dolly Parton, Arcade Fire and Metallica as the most streamed artist on the Glastonbury Festival line up.
Despite not playing a headline slot at this year’s festival, listeners’ love for Ed Sheeran has reigned supreme, with the flame-haired singer’s streams overtaking headline acts – acoustic track Give Me Love having reached over 35 million streams alone.
Sheeran tops the list, with female pop sensations Ellie Goulding and Lana Del Rey coming in at second and third respectively in the streaming popularity stakes.
With only days to go before music lovers descend on Worthy Farm, just one headliner has made the list of the top 15 most streamed artists, with Kasabian coming in thirteenth place ahead of their Sunday 29th headline spot on the Pyramid Stage.
