Rita Ora says Calvin Harris was "the right guy at the wrong time".
The 23-year-old British singer and the 30-year-old DJ started dating in May 2013, but ended their relationship in June this year.
Calvin announced their breakup on Twitter and it seems there was some tension, as he supposedly prevented the starlet from performing their joint hit I Will Never Let You Down at the Teen Choice Awards. But Rita insists there's no bad blood and the timing was merely unfortunate for the couple.
“It was the right guy at the wrong time. I was about to start a tour, and he was also all over the place," she sighed to the US edition of Cosmopolitan.
"There’s only so much you can do when you don’t see each other. I really admire people who have long-distance relationships. It’s an incredible achievement. I couldn’t do it.”
Currently it's believed Rita is dating Tommy Hilfiger's rapper son Ricky Hil. The star has never been shy about her relationships and is happy to talk about getting intimate, too.
“I’m very proud to say that I think about sex. It’s what everybody thinks about, whether they say it or not. For me, sex is a form of getting to know a person – feeling someone’s skin," she opened up.
And the musician certainly oozes sex appeal when she performs on stage. She's a fan of tiny outfits and isn't afraid to flaunt her slim figure.
"You have to come to terms with loving your body. Stand naked in front of the mirror and say, ‘I’m f**king sexy.’ That’s where it starts," she grinned.
