Nicki Minaj is reigning over the MTV European Music Awards, with Ariana Grande, One Direction and Katy Perry among top winners early in the night.
Stars are gathered at the annual event, held this year at the SSE Hydro arena in Glasgow, Scotland and with the Anaconda star serving as host.
Nicki, who also performed a medley of her hits, is up for four awards in total, and has scooped the prize for Best Hip-Hop, a category including stiff competition from Drake, Eminem, Iggy Azalea and Kanye West.
Ariana Grande won Best Female, a category that included competition from Nicki, as well as Beyoncé Knowles, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
The Problem hitmaker, named in six categories total, also scored the win for Best Song thanks to the hit track featuring Iggy Azalea.
One Direction has scored multiple wins, including Best Live, Best Pop and Best Fans.
Best Male went to Justin Bieber, beating out Ed Sheeran, Eminem, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell for the gong.
Best Song with a Message went to Beyoncé for Pretty Hurts.
Katy Perry, leading the pack of nominees with seven nods, scored Best Look and Best Video for Dark Horse.
The Worldwide Act EMA went to Chinese singer Bibi Zhou.
Other early winners included Linkin Park (Best Rock), 30 Seconds to Mars (Best Alternative) and 5 Seconds to Summer (Best New and Best Push).
