Rufus Wainwright honours Sandy Denny at BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards

Rufus Wainwright performed at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards last night at the Royal Albert Hall, London (April 27). Rufus performing a track by Sandy Denny, in tribute to the English singer and songwriter who was entered into the Folk Hall of Fame.
An exceptional night of music saw live performances from the John MCcusker Band, Lynched, Joan Armatrading, Katheryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman, Norma Waterson & The Gift Band, Mark Knopfler, and The Untanks.
Another stand out moment was Sam Lee who sang ‘Lovely Molly’ with the 40 strong Roundhouse Choir.
The Radio 2 Folk Awards was broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 from and is now available to watch online via live stream on the Radio 2 website and on the BBC iPlayer and the Red Button.
