Rock sensation, Brocarde wrote and performed her latest single World Upside Down at home - even filming the promo video in her front room.

In her latest extravaganza, Brocarde, who splits her time between Oxford and London, uses her innovative take on rock music once again and can be heard singing about her very own experiences on coping with the pandemic.

The music video that sits alongside the track emphasises the lyric’s importance, helping to create a sense of realness behind the covid song. Despite being set in Brocarde’s dimly lit living room, an eery atmosphere is definitely still achieved.

The artists pandemic inspiration doesn’t stop there, as ‘coronavirus couture’ can be seen listed on her website, where nonsurgical masks with topical quotes and heavily laced material are available at a fashionable price.

On her own website, she reveals ‘Brocarde is music. Brocarde is fashion’, which makes the alliance of the two covid-19 inspired pieces of work so important to her and her loyal fans.

She hopes that World Upside Down brings her fans and rock fanatics alike together in such uncertain times.

As the government urges for everyone to step out the house in a mask to prevent the spread of the disease, the artist’s take on nonsurgical masks, embroidered with lace, is a fashionable way for fans to stay protected and she hopes that the masks will become timeless pieces of history, and a way to reflect back on such events.

“Like any artist, I have music waiting to be dropped, but since all the craziness of the Coronavirus Pandemic has become increasingly prevalent, I knew I couldn’t ignore this, she says.

“I ultimately want to make people feel something through my music, so I put a lot of emotion into what I'm doing, which really comes across in this song. Everyone can relate to the lyrics, as we’re all going through this uncertainty together, it’s something we can’t ignore."

Various radio stations have been playing the track for fans to get a first glimpse into, including Planet Rock, which was given exclusive access to the track for its listeners ahead of its release.

Whitesnake's David Coverdale and Ray Luzier from Korn have praised Brocarde, who mixes her operatic vocals with heavy rock soundtracks. Coverdale described her as an 'Electrifying, creative new artist’, whilst Korn drummer Ray Luzier commented, ‘I love Brocarde’s very unique vocal style and vibe. I see great things ahead for her!’
