FRANCISCA (Francisca Garcés) - Guayaquil, Ecuador - has released new original tracks with the help of The Online Recording Studio. Working with
The Online Recording Studios Joe Wadsworth & Sergio Selva, Francisca has been able to continue to create tracks during the pandemic and is releasing
her first single across all major platforms from today - March 12th 2021.
Although from Ecuador, Francisca writes and sings in English, her secondary language. From a young age, Francisca wanted to write music, but not necessarily in her native Spanish. She has always identified herself with English artistically since she was a little girl, and she soon learnt that geography did not have to stop that. British and American Pop and R&B has always been her most significant influence both musically and culturally; eventually spending much time over in the UK exploring the country and its musical roots.
"I write and sing in my second language. It is the one I have always identified myself with artistically since I was a little girl. And geography does not have to stop that! " - Francisca
Now in 2021, she is releasing her debut single ‘
The Right Track’, which takes influence from varied artists and genres. The single combines passion and music, translating the feelings of a girl into music, with the lyrics reflecting love expressed through musical terms. The track has a sound inspired by Rihanna’s ‘Love on the Brain’ making it perfect for the current market and an excellent fit for a Pop playlist.
Produced by Italian producer Jacopo Puzzo, ‘The Right Track’ is a blend of Electronic R&B/Pop. A true pop song with solid R&B influences, characterised by a sound that recalls the style of Leona Lewis and Rihanna’s earlier releases. Compositionally, you can expect orchestral and acoustic sonorities mixed up with electronic percussive elements.
Now with two releases on the horizon, an EP is definitely in Francisca’s plans for the future. She finds writing a delight and is open that with so many talented musicians in her network through social media, it would be insane not to keep producing songs to inspire people. Francisca is still exploring her sounds as an artist, so you can expect different rhythms and sounds throughout the EP when it’s released. Think soft pop, but with a definite electronic edge for some, but exploration with different sounds to showcase her range and musical creativity. It’s all about inspiration and she does not limit possibilities, as long as her lyrics mean something.
Francisca’s second single (yet to be released) is more upbeat. The instrumental work is different as it’s less electronic - but hugely energetic. It’s honest and reveals another side to her as an artist. It is less about emotion and more about being authentic and chasing your dreams despite what society says you should or should not do. Kelly Clarkson musically inspired the sounds and style, and lyrically, there’s influence from Taylor Swift. You can expect a powerful track which protests a subject that many singers and artist can relate to.
When it comes to Francisca’s background, music has been a considerable part of her story. Francisca studied music since childhood, with her experience being in classical music. However, she always enjoyed listening to modern music, mainly pop and R&B. Francisca still takes influence from classical composers, such as Chopin and Mozart, as their creative freedom inspired her to follow her dreams as an artist. But musically, inspiration from pop royalty such as Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Leona Lewis have sparked her latest releases.
