SOFY takes inflatable sofa on tour of London landmarks to celebrate debut EP 'Bored In Colour (Pt.1)'

London singer/songwriter SOFY takes her nostalgic pink inflatable chair on a tour of iconic London landmarks to celebrate the release of her debut EP ‘Bored In Colour (Pt.1)’, out everywhere on Friday 25 February. Even more reason to celebrate - SOFY also plays a sold out headline show at The Social on Wednesday 2 March.
A prominent fixture in SOFY’s EP artwork, the singer lugged the chair across London tube stations, phone boxes, bus stops and local corner shops much to the amusement of passers by.
Rising star SOFY started work on her rapidly growing collection of head-bobbing, foot-tapping tracks just last year. Within 6 months of having written her first ever song, the 24-year-old had surpassed over 10,000 other entrants to become a finalist in BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge's nationwide talent search and now counts the likes of YUNGBLUD, Sam Fender, Arlo Parks, Celeste, and Tom Grennan among her fans.
In less than 12-months SOFY has organically built a cult-following of enthused fans who swept up tickets and made her first headline show at The Social (2nd March) a sell-out, 8-weeks in advance. Prior to this, SOFY had been personally selected by BBC Introducing presenters, Jess Iszatt and Abbie McCarthy, to perform at their respective live shows; ‘Summer By The River Festival’ and ‘Abbie McCarthy’s Good Karma Club’. This summer, SOFY will also perform at The Great Escape Festival, landing herself a coveted spot on the DIY Magazine stage at the prime time of 8.15pm on Friday 13 May.
SOFY’s effervescent energy in singles ‘Strawberry Milkshake’ and ‘Lads! Lads! Lads!’ have excited media tastemakers far and wide, with ardent support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Notion, Wonderland, Lyrical Lemonade, Earmilk and Dummy.
SOFY’s EP ‘Bored In Colour (Pt.1)’ marks the first of many expertly crafted projects to come in 2022, in what is lined up to be a major breakout year for the prolific songwriter.
