Alexander James Rodriguez Sparkles with New Single ‘Shine’

Pop music’s rising star Alexander James Rodriguez has released his latest single Shine, which instantly transports listeners to the perfect feel good idealistic place.

Radiating supernova lyrics and smart metaphors, the funk driven beat from the award-winning British-born recording artist was inspired by the teens love of 80’s music and disco era, and is blended with today’s mainstream pop.

Co-written by Alexander James Rodriguez and Liz Rodriguez and produced by Gemini Muziq (Justin Bieber: Purpose), ‘Shine’ is a classic four-on-the-floor beat with basslines, electric rhythm guitar and layered vocals showcasing the 14-year-olds phenomenal falsetto range.

“We wrote ‘Shine’ from scratch in the studio. It began with a simple kick drum and snare, before adding the funky bass guitars, my signature bells, and chimes, which appear in all of my songs,” explained Rodriguez. “This song has the most vocal layers I have ever recorded on a song so far, from talk backs to backing vocals and adlibs. It was definitely one of my most favorite to write and record.”



“My favorite lyrics are always the food references,” he continued. “Sugar plum honey, sweet like a gummy baby and you’re sharp like cheddar baby, make me smile each time I sing them. Plus, I am a huge fan of cheddar cheese!”

Now in his third-year writing and recording music, Alexander’s hit single ‘Cherry Bomb’ won the 2021 LA Fest 'Audience Choice Award' and was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2021 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, alongside the music industries elite, making him not only the youngest nominee, but securely planting himself beside today’s mainstream Top 40 artists.
