London-based emerging indie-grunge artist Daisy Brain has today released a new visual for single ‘Small Matters’. The video, which was directed by Sully and filmed at Hackney Bumps Skate Park and Paradise Slice pizza shop, gathers some of Daisy Brain’s (aka Will Tse) friends to create a visual that showcases the highs and lows of life. Describing Daisy Brain as a ‘London grunge star’, Rolling Stone UK premiered the video yesterday.
Speaking on the track, Daisy Brain says, ‘Small Matters is about suppressing your innermost feelings. Everyone has a breaking point, and little things in your day that might seem insignificant on the surface build up and put you past that threshold. This song is about that moment where the slightest thing could be the last straw and shatter your composure.’
‘I really wanted to channel that energy in the music with a proper wall of guitars and a really emotional vocal. This feels like a record that comes direct from a place of feeling before thinking. I love writing thoughtful, observational lyrics but sometimes a song has to come from a real rawness, and this is definitely that song.’
After performing at Community Festival last weekend, Daisy Brain is set to play Reading & Leeds Festival next month, before setting off on his own UK Headline tour in November.
