August culminates with a historic win for the Brazilian global pop superstar, who took home the moon person in the “Best Latin” category at the MTV Video Music Awards. Anitta continues to make history as the win marks the “first Brazilian to win for a solo project in the history of the VMAs.”

The win followed an electrifying performance by Anitta, who made her VMA broadcast performance debut with “Envolver,” the song that garnered her historic nomination.

This groundbreaking win and jaw-dropping performance comes fresh after the release of the Deluxe Edition of her smash album Versions of Me via Warner Records. The album features the 15 original tracks from the Versions of Me album released earlier this year, along with five new tracks with a star-studded line-up of collaborators including Missy Elliott, Maluma, A$AP Ferg, Nicky Jam, HARV, L7NNON, Maffio, MC Pedrinho, Pedro Sampaio and Dadju.
