Arriving on the heels of a packed summer of live appearances including a slot at BST in support of Rolling Stones, DJ, songwriter and musician twin-duo The Flints mark their debut release today with the genre-spanning single ‘Serengeti’.

‘Serengeti’ finds the duo exploring the realms of escapism, as George & Henry explain: “We read somewhere that all human-made mass exceeds all living mass on Earth… It made us fantasise about running away from the rat-race, breaking free from the monotony and repetition of modern life… After all, doesn’t everyone ‘wanna feel alive’?”

Born in Belgium and raised in Manchester, the place they hold closest to heart; the now London-based duo have amassed an impressive list of writing & production credits for the likes of Jean Dawson, Debnever, Junior Varsity and Tkay Maidza whilst simultaneously building their own immersive and endearing musical world. Now ready to focus entirely on themselves, they step out with the 100 Million Lightyears EP, due 4th November via their own label, Two Minute Music.

George & Henry’s debut release creates an intimate musical world designed specifically for the night. Interlaced with deep disco grooves and swirls of psychedelia, the five-track release sits as comfortably amongst names like Jungle and The Weeknd as it does Tame Impala and Parcels; introducing themselves as a dynamic force to be reckoned with across a range of genres.

“It’s tried and tested if you look at the likes of the Beegees, Beach Boys and The Kinks, vocal harmonies are super important.” note The Flints. “We wanted to take the nostalgia from that and bend it into something that sounds new and modern. Having spent so much time writing for other people, we’d forgotten how to make music for fun, and you could hear that in the music that was coming out. This is us taking back control of our own creativity.”
