"FLIP IT" is a mantra that has helped the sisters get through rough times, both personally and as a band and also marks a return to their DIY roots putting the entire release together on their own.

The voicemail enters first, then the cascading guitars arrive, and before you know it, the two members of Bleached are cooking up an arena-ready anthem worthy of festival stages and lighter-waving audiences. Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin have a punk-pop opus on their hands with “FLIP IT,” their first new single since 2020’s “Stupid Boys,” and a brief three minute reminder that their brand of defiant ecstasy is a celebratory fuck you to any opposition standing in their way.

The new single arrived auspiciously enough. A chance studio session and a standout demo on a harddrive full of them spurred the sisters–who were very much enjoying some much needed time away from the studio and the road over the past few years–back into action. Though Jennifer and Jessie sound confident, excited, and brash on the new single, their road to making the track was a bit more nerve wracking. The entire process made me feel a little weird inside because it's a little scary putting yourself back out there after having two years of being a hermit,” Jennifer explains with a laugh. Part of that nervousness comes from the DIY approach the duo took to this new single. For the first time since the early 2010s, Bleached is handling the entire operation on their own.
