Many believe pursuing a career in music looks easy. But making it to the top artists in the global scene is a milestone that only the most focused and resilient musicians achieve due to aggressive competition. The famous musicians getting millions of hits on YouTube or streaming on the top ten platforms represent a tiny fraction of the musicians who broke into the competitive industry.
There are no fixed guidelines that can guarantee a successful and enduring music career. However, success is guaranteed when you envision your dreams and become proactive, work hard, and keep moving forward regardless of the obstacles.
Siddy Rich is a Hip-Hop artist who worked hard to make a name in the industry, and his efforts have been successful.
Sid Richardson, aka
Siddy Rich, is a member of the Vodou Music Group, a recording label based in Polk County, Florida. Popularly known as Vodou Gang, the group is determined to dominate the global Hip-Hop scene through their unique music. Under the stewardship of Siddy Rich, Vodou Gang used its music to spread positivity and inspire people to remain positive in life despite the obstacles they may face.
Early in the year, Vodou Music Group released their first official single track, “Acknowledgement”, on YouTube. The captivating track earned over 30K views on the platform within a short period, indicating that the Gang is headed to greater heights in the industry. The track received significant feedback from the Gang’s ardent fan base, who can’t wait to see what the Group has in store for them.
Siddy Rich believes he is the most unique artist the music industry will ever get. He is originally from Haiti, a third-world country, and his parents decided to take a leap of faith and got on the raft to sail to America for a better life. He shares, “At nine years, I was detained in Guantanamo Bay prison camp. Since I have done and seen it all from a young age, I am ready to kick the door in the music industry.”
Siddy Rich is not new to the industry and is well-known for his single “Str8 Like Dat”, a track that created a regional buzz for him in 2015. “Str8 Like Dat” buzzed from middle Georgia to central Florida and remarkably gave me a chance to work with the Coalition DJs of Atlanta and Street N Greet. I also toured with Bigga Rankin and shared a stage with well-known artists such as Lil Poppa, Moneybagg Yo, Black Youngsta, and many more.
Siddy Rich recalled his darkest moment in life in 2012. “My biggest challenge was losing my only son in 2012 at the age of 6. However, I am a spiritual person, so they say everything that happened to you in life will reverse itself, so I’m still waiting,” he adds.
When asked about wisdom people can learn from him, Siddy says, “The wisdom is simple: do the right thing at all costs and stay focused on what’s important to you and your loved ones.” He also shared a great lesson on avoiding fake friends, as they can help you lose everything. Siddy Rich looks forward to seeing himself and Vodou Music Group LLC as the next CMG by Yo Gotti.
