The first of many, Skepsis continues to flaunt his versatility with his first ever D&B release marking an exciting new venture for the established producer. Since the producer’s debut single Goes Like back in 2017 skyrocketed with over 6M Spotify streams, Skepsis has become an in demand talent on the scene internationally, landing performances at world-famous venues and festivals including Amnesia, Ministry of Sound, Warehouse Project, Coachella, Glastonbury, Creamfields, Hideout, Parklife, Reading & Leeds as well as touring the US, Australia and New Zealand.
A longstanding front man of esteemed huge independent label CruCast, Skepsis is amongst an array of talent on the label responsible for releasing tracks from Bru-C, Sub Zero, Darkzy, Disrupta, Dread MC, Gentleman's Club, Turno, AC13, FooR, Flava D, DJ Q and more. Maintaining his name with bass fuelled anthems like Freak (11M Spotify streams) and With U (7M Spotify streams) the label are now fully backing his exciting D&B move.
Meanwhile, fellow collaborator and Persian-British UK based artist Raphaella is no stranger to industry recognition, consistently landing support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and KISS FM for her singer-songwriter-producer skills across multiple genres. The trailblazing talent has high-profile collabs and credits with massive artists like MK, Rudimental, Sonny Fodera, Petit Biscuit, JP Cooper, Wilkinson, Sigma, MNEK and Martin Garrix, co-producing with Little Mix and more, earning her 230M Spotify streams and counting across her catalogue.
Now the two credible industry forces unite for their first collaboration Know What It Means. Marking an ethereal offering for Skepsis’ D&B debut, the single features irresistible and haunting vocals from Raphaella that soar over colossal drops and dynamic breakdowns graced by soul-probing harmonies whilst in the video the lyrics explore a relatable narrative of a narcissistic ex, moving on and feeling better. Paired with more standout shows to come from Skepsis with CruCast next year at the likes of The Warehouse Project, Lab 11, XOYO and more, Know What It Means marks powerful end to the year for two artists at the top of their game and only just the beginning for Skepsis’ D&B voyage.
