Netherlands-based singer-songwriter Joyce Martens' new single "Today" is out now!

The easy-listening ballad, produced by Danny Beck from The Online Recording Studio, is a heartfelt and emotional journey that deals with life's struggles and the importance of staying in the moment. The track is an uplifting anthem that brings hope and happiness to the listener's soul.

Martens reveals that the song was inspired by her 11-year-old daughter's severe illness, which left her with the constant fear of losing her child. In the face of this, she learned to focus on the present and find joy in the little things. "Today" captures the essence of that experience and gives listeners a glimpse of the healing power of music.

When asked about her music, Joyce says that her music aims to inspire others who have been through tough times in their lives. Her lyrics and music embody a message of strength, resilience, and perseverance.

Martens is also currently working on an EP set for release in the summer of 2023. With "Today" being the first release, she promises a lot of excitement and anticipation for her fans.

Martens, a 42-year-old social worker, and mother, discovered her passion for music during the pandemic. She had always been a writer, and the pandemic gave her the chance to explore music, leading her to her current creative space. The lyrics in her music are a reflection of her life experiences and offer a message of hope to her listeners.

In her words, "The lyrics are plain about life struggles and apply to everyone. They can also find happiness and strength in it like me."

With the release of "Today," Joyce Martens continues to showcase her passion and creativity, taking her music to new heights.
