Returning with a gorgeous and emotion pulling new single - UK Songwriter Lila Tristram is at her absolute vulnerable best on “Baby”. The latest single from a forthcoming album, it’s a track that showcases an artist able to capture raw heartache in her songwriting - through the vehicle of a driving indie anthem. The track features Heledd Owen (Prima Queen, Adwaith) on drums, and Tim Gardner (RY X) on synth. It was co-produced by Gus White (Madeline Ashman, Edward Cross) and mastered by Tim Debney (Sufjan Stevens, Thom Yorke).

“All my songs are so sad. I wanted to write a song which would get people dancing.”

Known for her atmospheric, bucolic folk releases, today Lila opens a new chapter. After two years hidden with her band in a remote countryside studio, she has emerged with an elegiac indie-rock album.

Previously, Lila has received international support from labels and industry professionals in the UK, US, Europe and Japan, including Stephen Street and Dan Carey, who described her debut release Our Friends as “Stunning, so beautiful.” She has partnered with independent record labels to release her music to CD, vinyl and cassette. She has performed at residencies in the UK and Europe, has been featured in over 50 magazines and publications, received radio support from 6 Music and BBC Introducing and her work has been used for sync by Sony Music.

Influenced by the likes of Big Thief, Julia Jacklin and Bess Atwell, her debut studio album marks the start of a compelling new chapter in Lila’s creative journey.
