Take a nostalgic trip back in time with Matt Harper to the heyday of 80’s synth pop… Soft Cell, Visage, Giorgio Moroder and even Martin Gore’s torch ballads for Depeche Mode all spring to mind when you listen to new EP Change The World out on San Franscisco based EDM records on 30th August 2024.

“This EP is really my take on the world today. The conflicts, the lack of empathy and the way it’s so easy for people to be influenced by the actions of others. It’s meant to provoke thought.” - Matt Harper

Matt writes all his own music and lyrics and since reconnecting with his muse during the 2020 lockdown he has racked up an impressive 200,000 streams to date and airplay across the world on hundreds of radio stations with his electronic pop sound.

‘Oh No’ is the lead single out on 16th August and acts as a perfect introduction to his sound and raison d’être -

“The only way to live your life is living for the life you love” being a key lyrical quote. Its chiming synths and infectious melodies give an overall upbeat feel while hinting at a deeper subject matter and more introspective lyrical undertones.

Matt will be appearing at Tamworth Festival in August and is currently booking more dates in anticipation of his new EP release so make sure you keep up with him on social media to find out what he’s up to next…
