Cathartic Fall, the new solo project by Billboard Chart-topping producer Jeoff Harris, has unveiled a transcendent debut album, Cathartic Fall. This self-titled release is making waves in the ambient and alternative scenes, with Cathartic Fall delivering a deeply introspective album grounded in themes of self-exploration, emotional catharsis, and connection.

From the emotionally arresting instrumental opener Before The Fall, to the captivating a cappella conclusion of Angel, Cathartic Fall’s debut album takes you on a journey through a vividly immersive and deeply introspective sonic world. Jeoff Harris, the creative force behind Cathartic Fall and a fixture in chart-topping pop production, blends diverse musical influences and philosophies, uniquely bridging the realms of meditative, pop, and ambient genres. Each song on the album is a snapshot of Jeoff Harris’ inner world, as Cathartic Fall is offered up as the musical manifestation of his ongoing pursuit of self-understanding, compassion, and acceptance. Cathartic Fall’s ethos is simple;

“Cathartic Fall is about surrender. It’s about letting go of control and realising that your deepest feelings aren’t something to run away from. Your deepest feelings give you context for what matters to you—they are who you really are,” shares Jeoff.

This focus on emotional catharsis permeates the album. While the record sits firmly at the intersection of pop and ambient genres, each of the six tracks flows with its own distinct current. At times, thick textures swell into crescendos and ethereal interludes, with tracks like Strong As Death and Just This boasting arresting ambiance. Balladic tributes to meditation and mindfulness, notably Breathe, Slow Me Down, and the previously released single Ocean, create captivating moments of pause. Meanwhile, Harris' renowned pop production shines through in tracks like Where The Wind Blows and I Wouldn’t Change A Thing, driven by catchy hooks. Despite the album's varied sonic landscape, each of the twelve tracks is grounded by Harris' poignant, vulnerable lyricism.

The album's launch featured a special event with influencer and psychotherapist Matthias Barker, emphasising the project's focus on emotional and mental well-being. Therapy, meditation, and the therapeutic use of psychedelics have been instrumental in Harris’ own emotional reconciliation, offering new perspectives and insights. This journey forms the foundation of Cathartic Fall, as Jeoff explores themes of grief, loss, depression, anxiety, fear, failure, and relationships. Raised in an Evangelical Christian household, Harris' early connection to music was nurtured through the spiritual practice of worship. Though he has since moved away from the faith, this background continues to influence Cathartic Fall, infusing the project with a sense of transcendence that is spiritual yet non-religious. As Harris navigates his internal world through the lens of music, he invites listeners to do the same, fostering a collective experience of healing and connection often reserved for contemporary religious worship. He shares,

“I want to create spaces for people all over the world to feel safe and to emote. Whether through music, live events, or our Discord community, we aim to build a supportive environment where everyone can express their true selves.”

Standing out in the realms of meditation music, this album offers a uniquely cinematic and emotionally charged experience. With each of Jeoff Harris’ compositions designed to have a profound impact, Cathartic Fall serves as a conduit for healing and connection, inviting listeners to embrace their true selves and find solace in shared experiences.

About Cathartic Fall: The Artist
Jeoff Harris has spent over a decade in the music industry. He has produced Billboard #1 hits, including Madelline’s ‘I’m Only Here for the Beat’, and Twice’s Billboard 200 chart-topping ‘With YOU-th’. Jeoff has also helped shape viral sensations, notably Royal & The Serpent’s explosive RIAA certified gold record ‘Overwhelmed’. While being one of the musical masterminds behind these widely acclaimed releases, his unwavering need for self-expression remained strong, leading to the birth of his new solo artist project, Cathartic Fall.

Outside of his musical works, Jeoff is passionate about advocating for the responsible use of psychedelics in mental health, seeing their potential to facilitate deep emotional and psychological healing. Recently, Jeoff Harris shared a controversial and deeply personal video in which he consumed 800mg of mushrooms and listened to the entirety of Átta’s ‘Sigur Ros’, narrating the experience, with each track sparking candid discussions about politics, personal healing, seeking online validity, and men’s mental health.

Looking to the future, Jeoff Harris seeks to create a space for catharsis and healing outside traditional religious frameworks, providing a community where people can hold and release their emotional burdens. This community is currently flourishing on Discord, where the Cathartic Connection community is continuously growing.
