Multi-platinum band Sam and The Womp release their new single, Come We Play, today. The track marks the group's second collaboration with Reggae MC Natty Campbell, known for his work with Chase & Status and Dub Pistols. With a vibrant mix of Afro-Dancehall influences, the song brings together Sam and The Womp’s distinctive "Brass and Beats" sound, characterised by infectious brass riffs and dance-ready grooves.

Sam Ritchie, the band’s frontman and award-winning trumpeter, shared his excitement about the release: “Come We Play is my favourite track to date and was such fun to make with my good friends. I woke up one morning, actually a few years back, with the horn line in my head and sang it into my phone. I’m so happy it’s finally seeing the light of day with this amazing production!”

Best known for their 2012 hit Bom Bom, which reached Number 1 on the UK charts and garnered over 55 million streams on Spotify, Sam and The Womp have also performed at iconic venues and events like Wembley Arena and Glastonbury Festival. They have toured alongside major artists, including Mark Ronson and MIA.

Following Sam Ritchie's relocation to Amsterdam, Natty Campbell recently joined him in the Netherlands, where they recorded Come We Play at The Lullabye Factory in December. Alongside this single, two additional tracks featuring Campbell are expected to be released soon.

Fans can catch Sam and The Womp live at their upcoming headline performance at the How the Light Gets In festival on September 21, 2024, at London’s Kenwood House in Hampstead Heath.

In addition to their live shows, Sam is preparing for an Amsterdam residency at the renowned Jazz Cafe Alto, where he will perform every Saturday starting in October. The residency will feature special guests, including Natty Campbell.
