Today, the acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer Orion Sun has announced details of the UK/EU leg of The Rising Sun Tour. Her much-anticipated new album, Orion, is released this Friday (September 20th) on Mom + Pop, with new track ‘These Days’ out now and the cover of Apple Music’s New Music Daily.

Tickets for Orion Sun’s UK and European shows for The Rising Sun Tour include just her second ever London headline show at Scala on March 6th: artist pre-sale for all dates opens on Wednesday at 10AM BST, with general-sale beginning this Friday at 10AM. The Rising Sun Tour kicks off in North America next month, and will bring the electrifying nature of Orion to life for the very first time.

Orion marks a striking new chapter in Orion Sun’s personal life and creative journey. Sonically, songs like ‘Already Gone’ and ‘Mary Jane’ showcase an evolution of Orion’s ethereal, boundless sound. Lyrically too, Orion chronicles meaningful change, with an exploration of self and the world around you that has long marked Orion Sun out as one of her generation’s truly special acts. The album serves as Orion’s first offering following a two year hiatus, resulting in a deeply palpable body of work that soundtracks her latest journey around the sun.

Orion Sun has achieved extraordinary feats rarely seen amongst the realm of independent artists. She consistently clocks in over 5 million monthly streams on Spotify alone out of an album cycle, managing to soar to rarefied heights during the pandemic. Additionally, the young artist’s star has continued to rise as she opened for Daniel Caesar’s Superpowers World Tour in 2023 and she recently earned a staggering writing credit on Bryson Tiller’s explosive track ‘Whatever She Wants’ that sampled her song ‘Intro’ from her breakout Getaway EP. Earlier this year, Orion was also featured artist on the track “ItsNotREEAALLLLLLLL” on Fred Again..’s new critically acclaimed album USB alongside some music’s most beloved artists such as Baby Keem, Lil Yachty, Four Tet, Future, Nia Archives, Romy, Skrillex and others.

ABOUT ORION SUN: The Los Angeles-based Orion has quickly cemented herself as one of music’s essential and most groundbreaking artists today through an impressive catalog that has become recognized as both critically acclaimed and commercially successful with over 381 million streams globally. A luminous self-taught producer and songwriter, her work draws inspiration from the greats that shaped her artistry such as Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, John P. Kee Fred Hammond, Lauryn Hill, and others that remain central to her art. Orion’s most recent body of work, the Getaway EP, housed a collection of songs that chronicled her own journey of self-discovery and healing and arrived to large global critical acclaim. It features production by Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend, HAIM), Nascent (SZA, Brent Faiyaz), and Rodaidh McDonald (Adele, Kanye West, Sampha, The xx) Her previous album, Hold Space For Me, amassed over 80 million global streams and solidified Orion as an artist to watch with her transformative, intimate art.
