For this round of Fortnightly Finds, we’re showcasing some great new projects! Give them a listen below…

The Publics - I Know The World Stopped, but Why Did You?
Mansfield-hailing noise makers The Publics recently dropped their debut EP, I Know The World Stopped, but Why Did You?, sprinkling their stories with newfound emotion whilst keeping up the roar their live performances offer. Fresh from summer performances at YNOT? and Splendour, the five-piece brings rips of distortion, impassioned vocal narratives and fiery undertones.

kleio - the avenue
Lacing their anthemic indie tendencies with a delicate expression of love, kleio’s latest single ‘the avenue’ is one of their boldest works. A self-proclaimed “big step for the band”, the songwriting is sheer cinema, growing from rolling saturated melodies to a climax or soaring vocals and sonorous guitars. Supporting the likes of Post-Party and Barstaff, kleio’s live reputation is rapidly growing, and their records seem to follow suit.

Indira Ellis - i don’t miss you
Arriving as the successor to the emotive break-up anthem ‘Obvious’, Indira Ellis’ ‘i don’t miss you’ showers listeners with energising alt-pop filled with pulsating kick drums and expansive synth nostalgia. The New York-based, classically trained, singer fills the atmosphere with a new high of self-discovery, creating a euphoric momentousness engineered for the dancefloor.

Sterling Press - London Girls
Embarking on a new headline tour, and still rolling in the success of their debut EP in February, Sterling Press unleashed the raucous power of their single ‘London Girls’. The four-piece dives head-first into distorted, grungy vocals, pairing them with a scintillating roar of instrumentation. Furious guitars, bass and drums drive to a fiery climax without losing steam. After supporting STONE in Amsterdam and Brussels, Sterling Press stock is higher than ever.

Empathy - A Dying Breed
Only their second single to be unveiled, Irish alternative newcomers Empathy have just released ‘A Dying Breed’. A track about “social climbers and sycophants”, the quartet bring catharsis and absolution, lacing their words in shadowy guitar tones supported by a firm rhythm section, they balance stadium-filling tendencies with moments of haziness. Steadily capturing their live sound through recorded airwaves, keep an eye out for Empathy.
