Emerging artist Lucy Frost, a Boston native singer-songwriter and composer, continues to push the boundaries of genre with her latest single, ‘To Pieces’. Known for her distinctive blend of dark pop and indie, Lucy’s music captures her audience with relatable, evocative storytelling and raw emotion. Her recent releases, ‘Reputation’ (2023) and ‘Angeles’ (2024), have garnered attention on all major streaming platforms, and now she returns with her highly anticipated new single.

‘To Pieces’ is a song that, according to Lucy, “just fell perfectly into place while writing it.” Produced by Nick Schmidt, the track instantly resonated with Lucy, prompting her to craft lyrics and melodies that captured the gut-wrenching emotions she felt upon hearing the initial production. "Rather than focus on language and words, I wanted the song to be about that immediate, raw feeling," Lucy explains. The song explores the vulnerability of new love—the excitement mixed with the fear of losing something beautiful, knowing it won’t last forever. "It’s about loving something to pieces," Lucy adds, reflecting the song’s central theme.

The haunting emotion in ‘To Pieces’ made it an ideal candidate for a visual representation, and Lucy turned to director Camila Florez to bring the song to life in a cinematic music video. Inspired by the 1995 film ‘Before Sunrise’ the video tells a story of love at the wrong time, echoing the bittersweet themes of the song. Just as in ‘To Pieces’, the visual storyline embraces the inevitability of love’s fleeting nature.

With a background in film scoring and a talent for playing multiple instruments, Lucy's music fuses dark pop and indie influences with compelling storytelling. She strives to connect with her audience through deeply relatable songs and boundary-pushing soundscapes.
