Italy is set to make a major impact with its specially commissioned Italian Pavilion, ITALY AT WOMEX, when the music world comes together at the World Music Expo (WOMEX) in Manchester next week (23-27 October). Spearheaded by the Italian Trade Agency, this initiative celebrates the breadth and vitality of Italy’s music industry, offering an exciting mix of live performances, networking opportunities, and cultural exchange.
The Italian music industry plays a critical role in the country’s €255 billion cultural economy and it continues to thrive and grow. This is reflected in the live music sector, which saw a 13.6% increase in attendance, with 23.7 million people attending events in 2023, nearly double the pre-pandemic figures of 2019.
ITALY AT WOMEX in Manchester brings together more than 40 organisations representing all aspects of the Italian music industry. Key Italian music bodies such as
