The iconic jam band festival, All Good Music Festival & Campout, reimagined 10 years later as All Good Now. This cherished gathering once again invites fans to celebrate community, music, and the timeless spirit that brought so many together over the years. Set to take place June 14-15, 2025 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, All Good Now represents the evolution of a tradition that defined a generation and fostered an enduring connection among music lovers.
Originally launched in 1997 with little more than a fax machine, credit cards, and a love for live music, All Good Festival was born from founder Tim Walther’s desire to carry forward the spirit of the Grateful Dead. After Jerry Garcia’s passing, Walther and countless fans followed their hearts, seeking the music, scene, and community that had become a way of life. The festival’s first gathering, held in 1997 at Wilmer’s Park in Brandywine, MD, was a pioneering event that became the first notable jam festival on the East Coast and a powerful force within the emerging, yet to be dubbed, “jam band” scene. Over 18 editions, spanning 4 states and multiple venues, All Good Festival transformed fields and mountain landscapes into vibrant communities, welcoming attendees from all over to camp out, celebrate, and forge lifelong friendships.
As one of the foundational festivals of its kind, All Good preceded other legendary events such as Gathering of the Vibes, Bonnaroo, and Summer Camp, growing from an intimate gathering of 2,800 attendees to a peak attendance of over 23,000, All Good grew alongside its fans and expanded its impact. Walther’s team distributed over two million flyers to spread the word, while the fans, bands, staff, and vendors came together year after year to create the magic that defined All Good. For a generation of music lovers, All Good became a rite of passage, recognized by industry peers when it was nominated for Pollstar Magazine’s “Music Festival of the Year” in 2012.
Merriweather Post Pavilion, with its two stages, covered pavilion, creature comforts, and modern amenities, reflects the evolution of the festival-goers themselves. Where fans once braved fields and weathered the elements, today’s All Good family has embraced a balance of adventure and ease, reconnecting with the same spirit that defined All Good’s origins while embracing a new era. This June, All Good Now will bring the community full circle, combining the legacy acts that helped define the original festival with today’s hottest new artists, writing the next chapter in a story that spans nearly three decades—a story that began with shared journeys and continues with the same exuberant energy and love of life.
“We invite you to join us as we bring the All Good family vibes, the music, and that unforgettable energy to Merriweather Post Pavilion,” says founder Tim Walther. “Our lifestyles may have changed, but the spirit of music and community remains the same. Let’s revel in the past and celebrate in the present—we were All Good then, and we are All Good Now.”
