UK pop singer/songwriter Lilise has released her latest single ‘If You Don’t Grow Old With Me’ (IYDGOWM). With a pulsing driven sound, the track is written about a breakup with a psychotic twist. IYDGOWM is her fifth release and retains her signature lyrical depth and emotive storytelling, combined with pop and rock hooks and a darker edge than she’s displayed so far in her career.
IYDGOWM delves into the emotional twists of a breakup, knowing the future you’d planned together has disappeared and those sweet nothings have turned to jealousy after seeing your ex with someone else. IYDGOWM weaves addictive melodies with a chilling undercurrent and vocals that go from sweet to psycho.
"I wanted this song to capture the intensity of heartbreak, the way it twists your mind," said Lilise. "It’s about love, obsession, and the fine line between devotion and madness."
At just 18, she is already starting to earn a reputation for her emotionally charged lyrics and her ability to tell deeply personal stories that resonate with listeners.
Lilise has performed at major venues and festivals, including The Camden Club, The Bedford, and Country on the Coast Festival. Upcoming live shows include:
Login Lounge, Camberley - 24 January 2025
The Bedford, Balham - 1 April 2025
Lilise's musical journey began as a teenager, writing songs on piano and guitar while studying for her A-Levels. After recent spinal surgery Lilise is back and fully committed to her artistic vision. With influences like Taylor Swift, Sara Kays, and Maisie Peters, Lilise brings her own unique perspective to themes of love, heartbreak, and resilience.
