A new single by award-winning musician and pop icon Matt Goss, titled “We Are Not Broken”, has gone viral on TikTok notching up over 5 million views since it was released 2 weeks ago, on Valentine’s day.

With its deep lyrics, the ballad is being used as a backdrop for parodies and reflective moments alike. The lyric “will you take me back, lift me from the ground, I promise you that I will never let you down” has become a trending punchline. Creators on the platform are using the song to address ex partners, current partners, gaming wins and reflective scenarios, crafting narratives of love, fun, and personal growth. The Bros star thanked fans for hitting the milestone on his Instagram account yesterday.

"We Are Not Broken" made the official U.K. charts last week, landing at #56 on the Official Singles Sales chart and #51 on the Official Singles Downloads chart. The Official Charts Company (OCC) compiles the charts, which are based on streaming, downloads, and physical sales. Further solidifying his status as one of the most recognisable voices and names in British pop.

Eighties pop heart-throbs Bros sold an estimated 16 million records in the late 1980s and early 1990s, with huge hits such as “When Will I Be Famous?” and “I Owe You Nothing.” Matt and Luke reunited onstage in 2017 for their 30th-anniversary gigs at The O2, which sold out in 7 seconds flat, and were the band’s first live shows since 1989.
