Music for All, the UK charity dedicated to expanding access to music, is bringing back its flagship event, Learn to Play, for 2025! Taking place from October 9-12, this nationwide event offers free music-making sessions, welcoming participants of all ages and skill levels to experience the joy of learning an instrument or singing.

For over a decade, Learn to Play has inspired new and returning musicians while supporting vital music providers, including community groups, music retailers, and teachers. This year, with an extended four-day format, even more providers have the opportunity to take part in the UK’s biggest free music-making weekend.

Research by Frontier and the World Health Organization’s Collaborating Centre for Arts and Health highlights the significant benefits of artistic engagement, including reduced depression, anxiety, and reliance on medication. A study of 3,333 young adults also found that participating in music-related activities enhanced happiness and a sense of purpose.
