Dynamic alt-pop duo THE DRIVER ERA, brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch, today released their highly-anticipated fourth studio album, 'Obsession', available now across all platforms. Alongside the album drop, the band has also unveiled the music video for their infectious new single, 'The Weekend'.

'Obsession' marks a bold evolution in THE DRIVER ERA's sound, following up their 2022 release 'Summer Mixtape'. The 11-track album delves into the complexities of modern love and relationships with pointed lyrics, moody undertones, and irresistible rhythms, showcasing a more introspective songwriting approach while refining their signature genre-blending style. Tracks like the propulsive pop-punk focus track 'The Weekend', with its soul-melting harmonies and funk-inspired bass, exemplify the album's energetic yet thoughtful nature.

"The 'Obsession' era began sometime last year when we started to compile a lot of these songs… It was the truth of the situation - we were literally obsessed making these songs," the band shared. "'Obsession' is our entanglement with searching for love and trying to not fall too deep into these bad habits."

Despite the album's exploration of intense themes, THE DRIVER ERA maintain a playful and energetic spirit throughout. 'Obsession' showcases their versatility, moving from 70s disco-inspired synths in 'Don't Take The Night' to the subtle production in 'I Can't Believe She Got Away' and the genre-fluid rhythms of 'Better'.

'Obsession' also features previously released earworms like the stripped-back 'I'd Rather Die', the double singles 'Don't Take The Night' and 'Can't Believe She Got Away', the bouncy 'Same Old Story', the fiery 'Touch', and the catchy 'You Keep Me Up At Night', all contributing to the album's impressive sonic tapestry.

To further celebrate the release of 'Obsession', THE DRIVER ERA are gearing up to resume their massive North American headline Obsession Tour next month. The second leg kicks off on May 30th in Milwaukee and includes major stops at Summerstage in Central Park, New York City, and the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, concluding on July 18th. This follows a successful first leg and dates in Mexico and South America, where the brothers have built a reputation for their electrifying live performances.

With over 400 million global streams and a dedicated fanbase, THE DRIVER ERA continue to solidify their position as a dominant force in the alt-pop landscape with the release of 'Obsession' and their extensive touring plans.
