Rockney comes to town.

Were Chas and Dave the inspiration behind the punk movement? The jury is still out, but what is for sure you're guaranteed a good ol' knees up when Chas and Dave are in town!

A quality set, was prepared in traditional way with several pints in the pub next to the venue, only leaving with minutes to spare before the start of the gig. They launched into their opening number with Dave leading the band in pork pie hat and shades, Chas balanced precariously over his keyboard and Mick "with the sticks" huddled over drum kit.

Old favourites well belted out, with 'Gertcha and Margate' particularly popular with the 40 something crowd, but the place erupted as the band segwayed from 'Got My Beer on the Sideboard here' and into 'Rabbit'. Couples gazed into each others eyes as Dave crooned the slow dance special 'Ain't No Pleasing You', but the band saved the best to last. Old Skool Nutty Boys swayed, beer was spilt as Chas and Dave finished with a virtuoso performance of 'Snooker Loopy', you could almost hear a Jim Davidson joke.

So the lesson to take from this night was if you're in London on December 15th and have no Christmas Party to attend, then get yourself down to the Shepherds Bush Empire, for what will be a Rockney Nite to remember.....
