Snotty, arrogant and confident – live, The Treatment are all you could wish a young rock band to be.

Friday night saw them tearing the Academy crowd with rabble rousing anthems and 100 mile an hour rock and roll.

They were about as subtle as a sledgehammer but their style of PURE RAWK doesn’t call for pretty tunes or clever innuendo and fan favourites like ‘Running In The Alley With The Dogs’ and ‘Drink Fuck Fight’ pretty well sum up the youth and brio of the band – there are a lot of attitudinal similarity to LA Guns and The Quireboys – and new vocalist Mitch Emms commanded the stage pointing, throwing the finger and exhorting the crowd to love him time and again. The new album anthem 'Generation Me' was perfect for his non-stop action.

Bassist Swoggle, with his punk style Mohican and grimaces, was everywhere and lead guitarist Tagore Grey showed off the knobbliest knees ever seen on a stage as he posed on the monitors and ripped out some blistering solos.
Drummer Dhani Mansworth was one of the stars of the band and his powerful and subtle drumming held the whole set togather.

The crowd were suitably wound up and went crazy during the encore, much to the worry of the security, but that is all part of The Treatment – all about the attitude and the arrogance (and some damn fine rock as well)

Eighties band Air Race made a surprise performance opening the night and The Amorettes came on as the main support – huge riffs and great looks but not a patch on what was to come.
