BASCA, in association with PRS for Music, today announced the winners of the 62nd Ivor Novello Awards [The Ivors].
Ivor Novello Awards were presented in fourteen categories at the ceremony, hosted by Paul Gambaccini, which took place on Thursday 18th May at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

Skepta
In recognition of an outstanding body of work released in 2016, BASCA presented the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year to Skepta.

John Surman received The Ivors Jazz Award in recognition of his outstanding body of jazz compositions.
The Ivors Inspiration Award
Gary Numan
Gary Numan received The Ivors Inspiration Award in recognition of his influence as a pioneer of electronic music.
The 62nd Ivor Novello Awards were presented by BASCA in association with PRS for Music, and took place on Thursday 18th May 2017.
Of this year’s winners, BASCA Chairman Crispin Hunt said: ““In celebrating the exceptional power of British and Irish music writing and by honouring the past, the present and the eternal creators of music - once again this year, The Ivors absolutely smashed it. BASCA’s heartfelt congratulations go out to every winning composer. Whether you wrote songs, symphonies or syncs - we salute you."
