EISA: Singer-Songwriter, Producer, Director of “Ramen on Melrose

EISA is a singer/songwriter and rising pop artist. Surely you have heard her music in retail stores, on the big screen in movie theaters throughout the country, or on some of the biggest Spotify playlists such as New Music Friday and Top Hits. EISA is writing her name into pop music and impacting the industry with her authentic personality brand and growing catalog of Top 40 hits. We had a chance to speak with EISA to learn more about how she got her start in the industry and the inspiration behind her hit song “Ramen on Melrose.”

Where are you from?
EISA: I'm originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, but I moved out to California when I was 18.

Tell us what inspired you to start your music career?
EISA: I started singing at just seven years old, but what really influenced me was Hannah Montana and movies on Disney Channel. Something about being a worldwide sensation sparked an over-a-decade-long music passion.

Who is your biggest musical influence?
EISA: I can't pinpoint one artist, so I'd say my biggest influences are H.E.R, Bruno Mars, and Sabrina Claudio.

We heard you recently released a new song, "Ramen on Melrose," can you tell us a bit more about this and the inspiration behind this song?
EISA: I just wanted to write a song that others would relate to. Couples typically have a "spot" they call theirs. You start to build a connection with that place through the relationship. I wanted to write about how losing that person means you're only left with the memories built behind it.

How would you describe the mood of this song?
EISA: The song itself is very catchy and upbeat, whereas the lyrics are a bit sad, which is uncommon in a breakup/love song such as ROM.

What message do you want listeners to take from this song?
EISA: I want my listeners to know that missing certain aspects of a past relationship is okay. This song was written to show one of my most cherished moments in a past relationship while also showing the disconnection over time.

Can you tell us more about the writing process and what went into the creation and production of this project from start to finish?
EISA: I first thought of the song 'Ramen on Melrose' last year after going through a breakup. I knew I wanted to write a song about the relationship so I quickly went to write down the idea in my notes. When I sat down in the studio to start writing, I had no idea where to start; I just knew I wanted the final line in the chorus to be "Ramen on Melrose." From there we came up with a super catchy hook and started writing about the past relationship. It was written within a few sessions and we all quickly fell in love with the song.

I know you co-directed the supporting music video for ROM, can you tell us about your vision here for the treatment?
EISA: For this video, I had a very strong vision I wanted to recreate. I wanted the atmosphere to match my personal experience as best as possible. My initial plan was to use the original restaurant for the set but when we weren't able to follow through with that, we were able to find a set that ended up working perfectly. The set design, wardrobe and even the food was all what I envisioned and I couldn't be happier.

Can you tell us about your wardrobe(s) for the ROM music video and what inspired those looks?
EISA: I really wanted to follow a specific color palette for this video. Each date would resemble a different color and we would use each color to play with a different mood. Each look is very true to who I am as a person and artist. I was able to implement my own style throughout.

How was it working with a cast of other social media influencers in your music video?
EISA: It was such a fun experience! I got to meet some incredible people
and they were all so kind. I'm glad I was able to have such talented people involved in this project.

Where can people listen to this song and how can they connect with you?
EISA: This song is on all streaming platforms and you can find it anywhere. The best way to stay updated with any new releases and information would be through instagram or signing up to my mailing list through my website.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
EISA: Make sure to stream, watch and share "Ramen on Melrose" and thank you so much for all of the support and love!
