For the last couple of years, everything that Robert Jon & the Wreck have delivered has been absolute gold. This is no exception.
Their music is the epitome of Southern Rock and their individual talents are way beyond the ordinary.
‘Red Moon Rising’ is, from the 1st track to the last, an album of contained power and restrained passion – it all sits on just the right side of an explosion, with the threat still intact.

The title track is a great example of what the band are capable of and shows a definite progression. Deep into the groove and with a funk rhythm, it has a haunting tone and meaningful lyrical content. Produced by Kevin Shirley, that band sound great.
"Red Moon Rising” started out as a simple jam in the room and took on a life of its own," reveals frontman Robert Jon. "It's about all the beliefs, myths, and traditions surrounding a red moon, symbolizing rebirth and change, which perfectly encapsulates the spirit of our new album."
Another side of the band is delivered with the brooding and haunting ‘Ballad Of A Broken Man’. Robert Jon’s vocal is meaningful and runs deep, as do the lyrics.

Of course, there are bangers as well. The album opens with ‘Stone Cold Killer’, a rollicking rocker that just demands to be danced to.

There is a lot more emotive content than many of the other Southern Rock outfits and as a band Robert Jon & The Wreck seem to handle so much more than just rock.
