The heavy rain clouds marking London's non-existent summer parted for country pop star Shania Twain, who graced Hyde Park Saturday evening: “London, lets make some unforgettable memories tonight!”.

Dazzling the crowd with sparkling knee high boots and an equally sparkling presence, the singer skipped on stage, accompanied by the beat of her hit song ‘Don’t be stupid (you know I love you)’- delighting the cowboy hat decorated crowd.

Twain even joined in on the fun herself as she donned her own cowboy hat half way during the concert. A gesture that was much appreciated by the fans.

Despite the sniffles, Shania kicked off a night of non stop dancing and rhinestones with an array of 90s hits mixed in with her newer songs from the 2023 album ‘Queen of Me’.

The theme of the night proudly stood in true country style- a backdrop of a texas style ranch dazzled The Great Oak Stage. ‘You Win my Love’ got the cowboy boots stomping, followed by ‘Waking up Dreaming’ and then back to the 2000s with the upbeat tunes ‘Up!’ and ‘I’m Gonna Getcha Good’.

As the sun began to drop over Hyde Park, the fans themselves mellowed out as the singer thanked them for all the support throughout her impressively long career: “I just can’t thank you enough, you guys are so awesome thank you”.
Reaching for her guitar, “London it looks like we made it” said Twain before treating fans to an acoustic rendition of her critically acclaimed song ‘You’re Still the One’.

The high energy was quickly brought back with ‘Come on Over’ and some synchronised clapping to the 1995 song ‘Any Man of Mine’.

Twain continued on with her impressive setlist with new single ‘Giddy up’. Followed by ‘Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under’, ‘Honey, I’m Home’ and the soft ballad ‘From This Moment On’.

Uniting the crowd in one last hooray, the star banged out the fan favourite ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’. Leaving fans on a highnote and the promise of an unforgettable night fulfilled, every one certainly left with a buzz and plenty of new favourite songs.
