Kylie Minogue's performance on The Great Oak stage captivated the sixty five thousand audience members Saturday night, in what turned out to be a warm evening full of glitz and dancing.
Filled with high energy, with the singer began her exciting setlist with the 2023 song ‘Tension’, aptly titled after her latest album.
The star adorned a red latex suit, accompanied by her choreographed dancers who also dazzled the stage in latex bodysuits. The atmosphere in Hyde Park was electrifying when Kylie played the hits ‘Come Into my World’ and ‘In Your Eyes’: both tracks from the fan favourite album ‘Fever’.
Minogue interacted with the crowd throughout the night, complimenting outfits she noticed, like she was saying hi to friends. The star's own outfits continued to be equally as impressive. Keeping the audience on their toes, Kylie graced the stage in five different costumes, each one bold. A metallic gold dress with matching gloves and boots was particularly show stopping, as was the song(Hold On to Now) which accompanied the dress.
Minogue treated the crowd to a live debut of ‘Things We Do for Love’ before playing 90s song ‘Confide In Me’, followed by the sultry ‘Red Blooded Woman’ and ‘Slow’.
“I was wondering if you’d like to go to the eighties?” said Kylie before jumping into ‘The Loco-Motion’.
Special guests Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo joined Minogue on stage for a performance of ‘My Oh My’. Brazilian superstar Anitta also wowed the crowd with a sensational duet of the iconic ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’.
Becoming emotional by the energy radiating from the crowd, Kylie thanked the fans: “I knew you were gonna be here tonight, but you still take my breath away, thank you” before reminiscing on her last performance at BST almost ten years ago: “So much has happened for me, for you, for all of us”.
The singer's connection to her loyal fanbase is obvious.
The incredible concert can be wrapped up in one song, ‘On a Night Like This’, which closed off the show along with the upbeat ‘Love at First Sight’.
