Ya gotta love a huge slab of Stones/Black Crowes influenced Blues/rock with a howling harp and a great geetar solo.
Lions In The Street have had their trials over the years, signing to major labels and then moving on when their view of music was compromised, they have still managed to get support slots with the likes of Kings Of Leon and numerous appearances at SXSW.
This single has all the power and swagger – and rough edges – of the best British Boom bands. It hammers relentlessly in the engine room (Jeff Kinnon on drums and Enzo Figliuzzi on bass), the harmonica howls and swirls around the soundstage, Sean Casey’s guitar slashes like a stiletto, and Chris Kinnon’s vocals have that pouting and arrogant sound of a mid-period Mick Jagger.
One of the most exciting singles in ages.
