The track bursts into a funky rhythm from the get-go with a deep bass underneath singer Alex Rice’s distinctive vocals with an air of Elvis Costello flowing through them. As you hear this tracks it’s impossible not to imagine swaying and singing along in a packed out room surrounded by friends from the imagery these lyrics create.

Looking even deeper into the lyrics, they are packed to the brim with an almost fun but animalistic energy which is reflected in the chorus ‘Know it feels like I'm dying when your fingertips unzip my skin’ which contrasts with the funky sound created that can only be described as a love child between The Kinks and The Rolling Stones’ kind of rhythm.

‘Condensation’ is destined to be a live favourite with Sports Team’s fervent audience. Talking about the new single, lyricist Rob Knaggs said: “It’s a song about sweat. We had two years away from playing live and wanted to capture the physicality of being in a packed room with people you love. At a gig or anywhere else.”

Its release came alongside news of forthcoming new album ‘Boys These Days’ which boasts some of the Sports Team's most dynamic musical performances to date and features hand painted artwork by Rob Knaggs. This album follows on from its top three predecessors, Deep Down Happy, No.2 in 2020, and Gulp!, No.3 in 2022.

Following an exhilarating underplay show at London’s Omeara which sold out in less than three minutes, Sports Team will play of a ten-date nationwide UK tour this autumn, kicking off in Manchester on November 14th and culminating in a show at London’s O2 Forum on November 24th.
