Robert Jon & The Wreck

For the last few years, Robert Jon & the Wreck have been one of the bands that get the hair on the back of my neck at full attention.
They are one of the most powerful and forthright bands on the planet at the moment, and every new release seems to make their sound more intricate and complex without losing any of the things that make them so essential.

‘Ashes In The Snow’ is a ballad. Except that it is a grower and just builds and builds, drawing the listener in to the song and delivering little snippets that are a delight. The slide guitar, an understated piano line, the drums doing so much more than just hammering away and a tiny bit of ‘60’s style phasing all make for a monster of a single – this going to be killer live.
