The Key Club is rammed patiently awaiting the funky, infectious sounds created by the Manchester five-piece band Delights this evening.
Punters packed into the small space with pints, a sea of cameras at the front and a sense of anticipation in the air as the lights lower, making for an exciting night ahead.
The band kick off their set in Leeds with 'Iris' which starts with a lengthy, funky and uplifting instrumental. As we the hit vocals they melt across these rhythms and just add that cherry on top of a wonderful track.
'Two Times Over' brings a sense of nostalgia through the lyrics and also works so well live with is demonstrated by the crowd's reaction increasingly becoming more animated.
As we reach 'Adore You' it's soulful sending the crowd hypnotised and the vocal range is showcased throughout this one.
'Hotel Lobby' originated from a trip to France where the band felt inspired and created this masterpiece. A sound which is vibey, cool, sleek and similar to something from Two Door Cinema Club.
As the band finish on a fan favourite and arguably their most popular track '1989' I'm left with an overwhelming feeling of being so pleased I went to see them tonight and I can't wait to see what they do next.
