Parker Barrow hail from Nashville and it’s not a surprise that they have a strong Southern tinge to their rock – and not a little Blues too. This EP is their first release since their debut LP ‘Jukebox Gypsies’ (2023). Parker Barrow are led by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums). The name of the band is a homage to Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow - the infamous American bank robbers during the early 1930’s Great Depression. The drum sound is, as you might expect, pronounced, but luckily Turner is an excellent drummer. Megan’s voice is sexy and brash, dripping with spite and power. All around, they make a terrific noise.
The EP contains their earlier singles from 2025 ‘Make It’ and ‘Novocaine’, as well as their new track ‘The Healer’ and two other new songs.
‘The Healer’ is a perfect demonstration of what the band are about – power, excitement and a classic Southern sound.
Of new single “The Healer”, drummer Dylan Turner comments “It’s an exciting track because it shows a brand-new side of Parker Barrow,” says Dylan Turner. “Our music has always been groove based, and guitar driven, but this track called for something different. It features Eric Safka’s psychedelic-tinged organ solo which sets it apart from the rest of the tracks we’ve released so far.”
