Elles Bailey

This is the latest single from Elles Bailey’s new album ‘Can’t Take My Story Away’ and it is a real beauty.
A tribute to the late Matt Long, the song was written by him, and it is a perfect vehicle for Elles’ smoky and soulful voice.
In many ways, a throwback to the soul and Blues of the seventies, it ebbs and flows with a smooth groove.

Bailey and Matt Long came out of the same South West England scene and performed on the same bills together many times. There was a deep friendship between them, and you can hear Matt’s writing at its best here and Elles delivering the song with real passion and love.
This isn’t Bailey’s normal band, for this album she has introduced new writers and musicians and the recording is superb.
Bodes very well for the new album.
