The diminutive but dynamic Tom Clarke walked onto the moonlit stage at the magnificent Somerset House which had an even more grander setting in the dark, to cheers from the packed audience who were entertained earlier by Reverend & the Makers. The Enemy welcomed their fans and the set kicked off with power and energy, the only thing missing were a couple of starjumps in the air and a smashed guitar.....

The songs came thick and fast and the audience lapped up excellent versions of Away from Here, This Song, Sing when you’re in Love and We’ll Live and Die in These Towns. Andy Hopkins harmonies dovetailed well with Tom & Liam Watts was as good as ever on Drums. The introduction of keyboards at times gave it a lighter mood too and the set was a combination of anthems and album tracks.

My only criticism was considering Tom and the band said this was their favourite gig I was surprised they only played for 50 minutes. During the second encore Tom did particularly well to dodge a couple of pints of beer thrown at him which seemed strange as the performance was more than good (1 of the roadies seemed to be on the stage every 5 minutes clearing up a pint) – perhaps they don’t like the beer at Somerset House....
