Sadly due to the support band Subgiant pulling out because of illness, tonight's expectant crowd were treated to a deliriously perfect performance from headliners Dreadzone. It was great to see a band of twenty years still hungry for the live attack and boy did they deliver a thunderous display delighting a packed venue.

The band consisted of two vocalists, bass player, guitarist, drummer and electronics/keyboards. The vocalist/MC Spee had lots of energy and a very wide variety of vocal talents, despite being on crutches! Even live it was hard to imagine his Ragga style lyrics and musings were coming from a bald white man.

The band played a set consisting of new tracks including one from their forthcoming album 'Tommorow Never Comes' as well as some old classics, and some reworked cover tracks including one which sampled the classic 'Chase The Devil' by Max Romeo and a cover of a classic reggae track 'Warning', this one was definitely a crowd pleaser.

Overall the night was bloody good, though, a little short.
