RM Hubbert or `Hubby` as he`s effectionally known proved tonight that although his newest album is a work of art in its own right, You need to see the man in a live setting to understand the true genius of his guitar-work.

With a sprinkle of Mogwai and a spoonful of Preston reed, RM Hubbert entertained the crowd with his own style of lo-fi instrumentals, Playing the guitar with grace, Passion and occasionally using it as a drum as he picked and punched his way through a stellar set.
In between songs his conversation was minimal yet concise as he dedicated songs to his brother and sister, A skate-park in Fife that he and his friends built in an abonded church and even his dog.

Hubby has got to be one of the most talented musicans in Scotland at the moment and I for one look forward to seeing him back in Glasgow very soon indeed
