Jay Z & Linkin Park

It's not the first time that a rapper & a rock group collaborated on a single. The last great collaboration was as everyone remembers is Run DMC and Aerosmith with 'Walk this way'.

With this collaboration, well, let's just say close but no cigar. The smooth rapping style of the Godfather of rap and hip hop, Jay Z, suits the beats and melody of Linkin Park, to an extent, but it's hard work for the listners rehashing older material from both parties. The collaboration between them should not work but somehow they pull it off. It's easy listening but maybe if they had worked on new material, then it would have worked wonders. So in other words 'good but not great'.
